When we talk about the Gospel, we often don’t have much to say. Could it be that we’re only telling parts of the story that don’t really give a complete picture of the Good News? Maybe people just don’t understand what we’re saying? Whenever we shorten the Gospel it becomes one-sided and loses its power. But the Good News that Jesus lived and shared had many dimensions. Society has changed a lot since then, and now we face the challenge of rediscovering the best News ever.

We can’t put God in a box. Dogma and Statements of Faith can never explain God completely. 

When we reduce the full scope of Christ down to only one or just a few aspects in an attempt to understand God, and at the same time lose sight of the larger context, God’s living  hope becomes one-sided heresy. Alan Hirsch challenges us to broaden our faith horizon.
